Worlds Best Slime

Anyone with kids under the age of 12 has surely relived their childhood Nickelodeon days by making gallons and gallons of slime. Slime seems to be a huge trend for little ones of all ages and there are so many cool recipes out there. We’ve tried several recipes but our favorite recipe by far is FLUFFY SLIME!

Shaving cream is what gives this gooey glob of slime it’s incredible texture. We also used foaming soap which not only helped to make our slime super duper fluffy, but it also added a fragrance to our slime which was a nice change from the regular gluish slime stench. I would recommend vanilla foaming soap for the best fragrance but you should do some experimenting and let me know in the comments what your favorite slime fragrance turned out to be.

Before I share the recipe for slime I want to say that of all the varieties we made this held its texture the longest. We were able to keep it for almost 2 weeks in an airtight ziplock bag. Most other slimes we have made seem to become dull and lifeless in just a few short days.

SO here’s what we did:

Step 1 is making your activating solution which should be 1 cup of warm water and 1/2 tsp of Borax. Stir this up and set it aside for later.

Step 2 well I didn’t really measure this out but I pretty much just dumped a whole bottle of glue in a separate bowl and then sprayed what looked to be an equal amount of shaving cream in and mixed it up pretty good. I followed that up with just a few pumps of foaming hand soap.

Once that was done we added our food coloring. This is also the perfect time to add any other decorative flair to your slime. I mistakenly tried to add glitter later and wound up covered in it for days, along with my tables, chairs, and floors. If you want to add glitter, sprinkles, or anything else TRUST ME and do it now while you have it contained in a bowl.

The last thing you will want to do is add your borax solution from earlier. Just use a small amount at a time. Mix it up until you reach your desired consistency and play to your heart’s content.

Keep your slime safe in a ziplock bag and put it up and away from unsupervised children.
